Nationwide EAS test, 17 November 2026
Tell us what you noticed.
FEMA will run a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System on 17 November 2026 at 2:20 pm Eastern Time. If FEMA moves it to the backup date, 3 December 2026, use this same form. Eight questions, about two minutes.
Practice answers before 2:20 pm ET on 17 November are kept apart as practice.
Before you start
- International Deaf Emergency (IDE) will count the answers and may quote them in a report to the Federal Communications Commission. No name is ever attached, and no single observer is identified.
- We do not ask for your name, email, phone number or address. We do not keep your IP address with your answers. The most precise place we ask for is a US state.
- Only question 3 is required. There is no time limit. Please do not type your name or contact details in question 8.
- Taking part is voluntary and unpaid.
You can also answer by plain email to hello@ideafe.org. An email shows us your address; this form does not.
