Official report of the 2026 CAP Workshop: session 3.15, Alerts for All

The official report of the 2026 CAP Implementation Workshop and Training is published. Session 3.15 summarises IDE's talk, Alerts for All.

The official report of the 2026 Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) Implementation Workshop and Training was published on 30 October 2026. The events were held from 6 to 8 October 2026 in Birmingham, England, hosted by the U.K. Environment Agency, OASIS Open and Alert-Hub.Org CIC.

Session 3.15 of the report is IDE's talk, “Alerts for All: making CAP alerts accessible at the source”, presented by Emmanuel Jacq. The report summarises it in these words:

The standard carries the hazard family of an alert in a CAP parameter, so a receiving device can render that family as a distinctive rhythm delivered at the same moment through touch (vibration), light (flashing) and sound.

The report is the Workshop's record of what each speaker presented. Workshop participants represented themselves, and a summary in the report is not a review of the Three Senses Alerting Standard. The draft standard is open for comment.
