IDE Launches New Donation Platform

Our redesigned website is live with a new donation system, making it easier than ever to support deaf emergency programs worldwide.

International Deaf Emergency has launched a completely redesigned website and donation platform, replacing a system that had remained largely unchanged since IDE's early years.

The new platform features:

One-time and recurring giving — donors can choose between a single contribution or a monthly subscription. Monthly giving is pre-selected, reflecting IDE's belief that sustained support enables longer-term DRR work than one-off gifts.

Fund designation — donors can direct their gift to where it's needed most, the Emergency Fund, DRR Training Programs, or Research & Development. This level of transparency helps donors feel connected to specific programs.

Full financial transparency — the donation page shows real-time fund allocation (85% direct programs, 10% operations, 5% fundraising) so donors can see exactly how their money is used.

Impact levels — each suggested amount is tied to a concrete outcome: $25 contributes to the Emergency Fund that activates within 48 hours of a disaster; $50 funds DRR training materials for a deaf community leader; $100 supports one month of R&D on accessible emergency technology.

Tax receipts via email — donors receive an automatic receipt immediately after completing their gift, with all information needed for tax-deduction purposes.

The platform runs on Stripe and accepts all major credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. IDE is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN: 27-3191911).
