IDE Signs MOU with the World Federation of the Deaf
IDE and the World Federation of the Deaf have formalized their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding on emergency work for deaf communities.
International Deaf Emergency and the World Federation of the Deaf have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that formalizes and deepens a partnership years in the making.
IDE is an international member of WFD, the global body representing 70 million deaf people through its national member associations. The partnership joins WFD's worldwide network and voice with IDE's operational disaster risk reduction experience, so that both organizations act in concert rather than in parallel when deaf communities face emergencies.
The detailed terms of the agreement are a matter between the two organizations. What the partnership means for the deaf communities we serve is simple: faster support, deeper local knowledge, and a stronger shared voice in global policy.
